Sudden Cardiac Arrest: High-Risk Patients and High-Risk Periods, Part 1
April 05, 2013
The webinar is intended primarily for cardiologists and referring physicians who might benefit from a discussion of treatment options and decision making strategies for their high-risk patients whose case profiles may fall outside established treatment guidelines.
In Part 1 of this webinar, Drs. Charles Kinder and Suneet Mittal presented opposing viewpoints with regard to employing the wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) during the waiting period. Part 2 takes the case beyond the 40 day waiting period, adding case characteristics that will provide the context for a debate on the merits of prescribing the subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD).
